Snake River Swimmer, Coach, and Volunteer Awards

Becky Smith, the LSC Awards Chairman is accepting nominations for the following:

Daniel Dewey Award – this award is based on sportsmanship, leadership, and respect for others. The accomplishments of the swimmer in the water does not have any bearing on the nomination. Anyone nominating a swimmer must submit a paragraph as to why the nominee is worthy of the award. Each team can submit one female and one male nominee.   A list of past participants is posted on the SRS website .

Coach of the Year – all coaches, including full and part-time, are eligible to receive this award. Please submit a list of contributions, history with SRS, and your signature with each nomination.   A list of past participants is posted on the SRS website .

Conoco Phillips/Western Trophy Award – this award is given annually to the person(s) or group that best exemplifies support of, participation in, and commitment to Snake River Swimming. Please include a written paragraph why this individual should receive this award.  A list of past participants is posted on the SRS website.

Academic Achievement Award – this award is presented each year to those swimmers who have completed the 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade; have maintained a 3.5 cumulative GPA and are members of USA Swimming. 

Nominations and the list of Academic Qualifiers are due no later than June 30.
